AZIZA SYP

AZIZA has been serving authentic, homemade Egyptian and Middle-Eastern cuisine in Hong Kong since 2017. The name AZIZA in Arabic means “darling” and it embodies our aim to provide a welcoming and homey atmosphere for all guests. We started with AZIZA Kennedy Town in 2017 and two years later, in 2019 AZIZA Sai Ying Pun was opened — a fully-fledged restaurant with over 60 seats in one of Hong Kong’s hippest neighbourhoods.

Our Head Chef

Our Chef Mohsen Gaber Ibrahim was inspired by his own father’s unique culinary talents and decided to work towards the dream of becoming a chef. Starting at the bottom, he went from washing the chef’s jackets at the end of service to taking up a position at the luxurious Oberoi Hotel in Giza and the British Embassy, where he was proud to serve dinner to Great Britain’s Prince Charles.

Chef Mohsen believes that Egyptian food is different from any other Middle Eastern food and takes great pride in its freshness. Hence, he was moved by his eldest son Medhat to start a joint venture to bring Egyptian and Middle-Eastern cuisine to the local market for all to enjoy. “The secret to Aziza is that everything is homemade. I’ve taken my mother’s recipes and upgraded them to satisfy even the most discerning palette. While others may focus on profit, we focus on quality,” says the dedicated chef.
